Guitar Concert- A new year with new guitar students means a new concert experience for many. Come join us on Tuesday, April 23 and listen to guitar performances from a combination of musicians from various levels of guitar conducted by Mr. Lalka and Mr. Lengua-Miranda. Concert is free and begins at 7pm in the auditorium. 

Curriculum Fair - On Tuesday, May 7th we will be hosting our first ever future year Curriculum Fair here at Olympia. At this fair, students and parents can speak to teachers of electives and advanced courses that will be offered next year. There will also be information sessions on AICE Cambridge and Advanced Placement (AP), including plans for earning the AICE Diploma. Students will also be able to review the courses that they have currently requested and make adjustments to these requests at this event, a full three months earlier than usual! The event is from 5 pm to 7 pm on May 7th, in the auditorium and cafeteria. 

Cambridge Testing: Students enrolled in Cambridge English General Paper and Cambridge Psychology will have their exam on Thursday April 25th at 8am. Students must arrive early to their testing locations. Students arriving after 8am will not be able to test. Testing locations will be emailed. Students are allowed to bring a snack or water bottle but it must be in a clear container with no labels. 

Students enrolled in AICE Marine Science will have their exam on Friday April 26th at 12pm. Students that are testing will go to A lunch, and then report to their testing locations, which will be emailed to you

Senior Corner: 

Senior CFEs- Seniors will be taking their Common Final Exams Tuesday through Thursday next week during the modified block schedule. Seniors will need to make sure that they have their laptop and charger as these tests are mostly taken online.

FCLE Testing: Seniors currently enrolled in US Government will be taking their FCLE exam on Friday April 26th. Testing time and locations will be emailed to students, so please make sure that your students are checking their email regularly

Senior Check Out- There is under a month left of School and Senior Check Out will be starting soon!  Do you have the following items complete?  Graduation Gowns, and Graduation tickets are not given out until your full senior check out is complete.  Below are items from College and Career items that are a part of senior check out.

  • Click on “Take survey” and complete the OCPS Senior Survey 2023-2024

CCC will be open for you ALL NEXT WEEK to help you COMPLETE these items

Senior Banners- Parents/families are welcome to make and drop off a banner for their seniors. These will be hung inside the school courtyard along the second story handrail by PTSA. Last day to drop off the banner to Ms. Possell in the College and Career Center is Monday, April 22. PTSA will take these banners down and have them ready for pick up from May 13-15. 

Guidelines: Banners must be VERTICAL 3' x 6' they may not be larger than a twin sheet. These are best if created on a vinyl please be sure to add grommets for easy installation.  There are companies online that offer these and can have them shipped to your home once created / and local companies as well.  All banners must be appropriate for school.  If your student played a sport and has a senior banner, that can be hung. •  Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal: May 21 at 8:45 am in Olympia Auditorium- All seniors cleared to graduate will receive 8 complimentary graduation tickets. The 8 tickets will be distributed to cleared seniors at the mandatory graduation rehearsal.
• Baccalaureate: May 21 at 6 pm Olympia Auditorium
• Graduation: May 24 at 8:30 am at Addition Financial Arena at UCF
